Tyler Henn: Ideas I'm exploring

These are questions and directions I keep returning to—not polished predictions or a list of things I promise to build.

The thread running through them is simple: make businesses easier to understand, make proof easier to find, and keep more of the internet under human control.

Building

A local business should have one shared source of truth

The website, Google Business Profile, citations, reviews, service pages, and sales language should describe the same real company. I am interested in systems that let a business update those facts once and keep every public surface aligned.

Testing

Proof should be the raw material for service websites

Most service websites start with claims and decorate them later. I think the better sequence starts with completed work, customer questions, photographs, constraints, and outcomes—then builds the page around that evidence.

Building

A podcast can become an owned knowledge system

A useful conversation should not disappear into a video feed. The recording can become a transcript, article, newsletter, short clips, structured entities, internal links, and durable answers that both people and machines can understand.

Exploring

Directories can be useful internet infrastructure again

The best directories reduce a real discovery problem instead of existing only to sell placement. I am exploring what makes a directory genuinely useful to its visitors, defensible in search, and fair to the people listed in it.

Testing

Small businesses need simpler attribution

Owners do not need another dashboard full of impressions. They need a trustworthy path from visibility to calls, forms, booked conversations, and revenue—with enough context to understand what deserves another dollar or hour.

Practicing

AI should extend a real point of view

AI is most useful when it helps organize, interrogate, and distribute firsthand knowledge. It becomes much less useful when it replaces experience with fluent sameness. The human should remain responsible for the judgment and the claim.

Exploring

Personal websites are becoming identity infrastructure

A personal site can connect projects, writing, interviews, profiles, photographs, current priorities, and relationships in one place that a person controls. That matters to human visitors, search engines, and emerging answer systems.

Thinking about one of these too?

I am always interested in concrete examples, thoughtful disagreements, and conversations with people doing the work in the real world.
